I be Elfin'

After three months of hardship and unemployment, I found my seasonal vocation. From 7am to 7pm for 14 days I am an Elf. Not for Santa but for this small company out of the high country mountains. I make the holiday's favorite kissing balls, grave blankets, swags, wreaths and roping. Also as part of my duty, I tend a small wreath shack. This is the third job in a row that I work outside for; I'm constantly surrounded by mother natures ultimate beauty, and it is rather pleasant. Back at the main wreath factory, there is a multitude to Mexican Elves working at a tremendous speed to fill in the holiday orders. I hope to have more pictures of them soon.
The job ends on December 10th, at which time I will fulfill my ongoing correspondence, my apologies for the delay.
Much Love!

Telescope Parts

Here's another glance at the upcoming animated film "Lunar." (click image to enlarge) These four drawings are part of an unfold-able space telescope.
It took me the whole week to pencil and ink the dozen elements that the telescope is made of. This project is now way behind my original deadline. I hoped that it would have been, drawn, animated, colored, re-edited, and scored by early November for festival submissions. Alas the intensity of the craftsmanship was not predetermined, but instead found me. In other words, it is too detailed to respect the original time-line.
At this time, I am satisfied and pleased with the 3 of 7 completed scenes that make up the rough cut.

Temporary Tattoo

One thing led to another and I found myself drawing this temporary tattoo.

This being my first skin drawing, I discovered that I'm very attracted to the idea of tattooing. Using skin as a canvas is fairly liberating. I especially liked drawing the wing with the ability to open and close. I had no preconceived plans for this drawing, and so I hope you forgive the warping nature of the piece or the lack of detail surrounding the negative space.
